The Centre is open daily 10 to 4 from May 20th to October 9th. During some special events the museum will be open extended hours. Check the calendar.

Feature Exhibit — 2017

Travel back to Owen Sound’s industrial past with a story of work and workers. With captivating photographs and testimonials of the skilled tradespeople of Owen Sound’s manufacturing, cement, wood, and shipbuilding heritage, their hard work can be appreciated, in the wide range of products that were MADE IN OWEN SOUND. This exhibit is available from May 20 to October, 9, 2017.

From spring to Thanksgiving, the Heritage Centre is open 7 days a week from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Admission is by donation. Please sign the guest book.
 The building
Welcome to the former CN Rail Station. The entrance to the museum is through the Owen Sound Tourism Office. The building is air-conditioned in summer.

The museum is wheelchair accessible but the caboose and CN Coach 4884 are not. Please note: The Coach is “under construction” so it will not be open for visits until the work inside is complete.

Location and Directions
1155 1st Avenue West, Owen Sound

We are located on the waterfront on the west side of the harbour, two blocks north of 10th Street West.
If you are coming from the East on 10th Street turn right on to 1st Avenue West immediately after crossing the bridge.
If you are coming from the West on 10th Street West turn left at 1st Avenue West.

There is free parking beside the harbour walkway in the parking lot.
